Hi everybody. I own a Johnson 70hp, 2001 model: J70plsis. Am doing carburetor' rebuild. Would like to know when or why the 0332204 orifice plug 60d is used instead of 033183 orifice plug 35d. My motor came with the 60d and I am curious why there are two sizes.
Also I could use some comments on how critical are the valve needle ,slow speed.
Best regards, Luis.

Re: carburetor orifice plug

the correct one for the 70hp is the 60d, the 35d is for 60hp and 40 hp motors. the correct air fuel adjustment is critical. if you want the motor to idle properly.
