Hi,

I have my motor running pretty well now that I have the overheating problem solved with the help I received on this site, thanks to all. I am now looking for a part number for a complete new OR rebuilt carburetor for my motor. I have a parts catalogue with part numbers listed, but there is no indication for a complete carburetor just for the parts to rebuild / repair my old one. Can I get a complete carburetor anywhere and if I can, does anyone know of a part number for it?

Motor info: It is a 1965 Evinrude, 75 H.P SpeediFour, two stroke motor 4 cyl, Model # 75553. Can anyone give me the part number for that carb? Thanks in advance. I plan on installing a new carb instead of trying to rebuild my old one. or do you think its a lot cheaper to have my old one rebuilt? I can take it off and put it on, but I do not want to do the rebuild. Never had any success with rebuilding my own. Thanks!

Part number 379660 Carburetor and choke assembly. But it would be pretty unusual to need the whole thing, they are so simple to repair. However, be aware that you are supposed to use a special tool to center the venturi. Having said that, they generally will run ok without using it. At least, we all know that few people have one. They all manage to use uber gallons of fuel anyway.

Thanks for the part number. I appreciate the help finding it.
