I been trying to find the right kit for carb rebuild for my 1985 75 hp with S/N: A145760. I didn't have much luck with the service manual. it talks about many different carbs, such as; throttle plunger carburetor, Mikuni BV 18-14 Carburetor, throttle plunger carburetor, downdraft carburetor, integral fuel pump carburetor and center bowl carburetor. I don't know which one of those are for my outboard. I am inexperienced with carbs but I did the water pump on this outboard with no problems. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, I am using a Mariner Manual for 5-200 HP outboards. But the outboard serial number starts with the letter A, which is not common on the part list.

Re: Carburetor rebuild kit for 75 hp Mariner?

I need a little more help with this. I was able to find out that I have CENTER BOWL TYPE CARBURETOR. And I was able to find the gasket kit from Napa, but I couldn't find the needle or the jet. I know the whole kit number is 812953. But I couldn't find it anywhere. Any HELP PLEASE!

The main reason for rebuilding the carbs is because the motor been seatting for seven years and I took it out three times on the water and it is responding well, but couple times when I was trolling and I gave it more, it chocked up.

Any HELP PLEASE!

Did you ever find the kits for your motor? I just bought a boat with the same motor, and my carbs are gummed up, so I should probably do a full rebuild on all 3 of them.
