Carby leak

I have a 30HP 2 stroke mariner with fuel leaking from a hole in the carby - please see pic. Can anyone send me in the right direction as to what this might be caused by? The motor hasn't been run for 12 months apparently and when I fired her up fuel was pouring out of this hole. I am pretty green when in comes to mechanics so appreciate the help!

Float valve is stuck.-------Clean the carburetor.------Not hard to do.
