I am in the process of installing new wood seating, flooring, and carpeting in my 1988 14' Lund boat. I have marine grade plywood, glue, and carpeting and Minwax spar sealer. The glue can states that the glue should not be used over a sealer. I was told to use this sealer because it would still allow the wood to breath and yet keep excess moisture out of the wood. No sealer has been applied to any wood yet. My question is: Does the wood need to be sealed where the glue is going to be? Any help with this will be appreciated. Thanks for you replies.
