Re: carry - on air conditioners
They do a good job mostly depending on the size of your boat. The biggest negative is getting it into position. In most cases you will have to stand on the deck and reach down through the hatch and pull it up.Easier said then done.If your hatch is large enough it will come through it in almost any position that you pull it up from. That was my previous boat.If you have a standard or a little smaller hatch(like I currently have)You will have to unscrew the hatch support and disconnect it each time you put it up and down.that is the easy part. There is only one way that the unit will fit out the hatch and you have to figure it out.It is almost impossible for me to get mine through the hatch alone. It can only enter the hatch one way and then when the control panel/lip get through the hatch the entire unit must be held almost upside down to angle it through the hatch.Believe it or not my smaller ,older boat had a slightly larger hatch and it was a breeze.Hopefully you have the right size hatch. In any case it will be a great addition to your boat and to your boating. The first overnighter you do ,you will wonder how you ever did without it.
