Hello all,
I got my 94 Four Winns running today, although it was only for a very short time--the fuel pump was leaking bad. I pulled it off, and apart, and it is a Carter 0-3035 pump. The problem is I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

You can buy a rebuild kit at Napa for $20 or so... Be sure to change your oil given mechanical fuel pumps can fill a crankcase with fuel before they show external leaking

It is an OMC 3L HO, although there are a ton of 3L designations, GL, GS, etc, I don't have that info--there are no engine stickers or tags anywhere, the info I have came from contacting Four Winns. I figured it would be possible to cross reference the Carter part number, but evidently that is not possible. I would do a rebuild kit if I was sure it was the right one. Thanks

So after some more research it appears that part #826493 is the now correct part number. Unfortunately it's very expensive. However, I did come across an old post, from this forum actually, and the guy had found a Precision pump that worked for 1/3 the price. Unfortunately I have to order it so when it gets here I will confirm or deny that it will work so maybe it will help someone else.

OK, I'm posting this so if someone else has an issue with this pump and is researching a replacement maybe they'll find this and it will make their day. I received the Precision pump today--part# M22015--and it's the same pump, for 1/3 the cost of the 826493. Installed it today and got the boat running again, although now I have a couple more issues I have to figure out.

Great feedback. As an aside I got a Carter pump by looking through the Carter online catalog and figuring out which # is the correct pump. Once you have the correct pump #, these pumps can be bought from various sources like Summit Racing or Jegs. The same pump sold for half the price that BRP charges if you look it up in the BRP catalog. Sierra also makes an aftermarket version of some of these pumps. It’s what’s often done in the marine parts business where the OEMs buy parts elsewhere and then double the price to the end user. You just need to figure out where “elsewhere” is!

Well some new info to add. I didn't mention before that I had also been in contact with a tech from Carter. Long story short is he told me the Precision pump was for a GM 454 and I should not use it as damage to the cam may happen. So I pulled out the pump and sure enough the arm is quite a bit different. So I decided to combine the two and make one that works--hopefully. I tried to put the old arm on the new pump but couldn't seem to get them off--didn't try real hard because i didn't want to damage anything. I then decided to use the guts out of the new and put in the old--basically a rebuild. However, I couldn't figure out how to get the diaphragm out--I think you might need to take the arm out to get it out. So since my initial problem was leaking at the other gasket, not the diaphragm, so I swapped everything but the diaphragm in. Not sure if it works yet didn't get time today to try and get it started. If/when this pump goes out think I will go with an electric pump, would be much cheaper than the other replacement. So, if you get the Precision pump, or the carter one that is the same as this Precision one, and use it, as is, in anything but the 454 then damage may occur. Just wanted to let you know.
