Caught one big one and a small one today.

The gator lay over on the bank and watched us fishing off of the dock until I caught this one and then it was a matter of getting it up onto the dock before the gator got there. The fish doesn't look as big as he really was, because I was holding him to the side and watching the gator swim around the dock. This is why I use heavy duty gear when I fish for bass.
I thought I would show the picture of the gator off the side of the dock too.

I never got comfortable with those rascals when I visited my FIL in Florida a few times. Somehow thinking of myself as bait did nothing for me.

They have signs all over the place warning people to watch out for the alligators and venomous snakes. We saw people walk right down and take pictures of this same gator after he crawled out onto the bank. The way he made a fast beeline across the water trying to get to my bass, I would say he is pretty hungry and I don't plan on offering him any of my leg.
