Cayuga Lake

I am looking for some advice from folks who know Cayuga Lake.

I have a 16' Glastron and the past two weekend the lake has been so rough we could not really do much.

I'd like to get an idea how rough the lake is before we head out. Is there a rule of thumb for wind speed vs. wave height? Anyone know of any websites that give lake predictions?

There are some for the great lakes but not for the finger lakes. Cayuga gets rough with winds out of the south or north. If you have winds coming out of the west for the mostpart it doesn't get too rough.
