I just took off the carb and pulled out the jets, the high speed has a groove worn into it and the low speed tip isnt sharp like the high speed, hard to see but looks flat, i dont know if i can reuse these jets without issues .

The low speed needle is the one with a pointy tip. THe high speed is more blunt. Post a pic of them so we can have a look see.

The low speed needle is the sharp, pointy one and goes in the TOP of the carb. The high speed needle is the blunt(er) one and goes in the BOTTOM of the carb.

Hard to see the low speed needle (the first one) from the pic, but I dont see anything wrong with the high speed needle (second pic)

As a wise man once said on here, they are nothing more than glorified faucets really.

I would use them. Should be good to go.

Its hard to see but there is a groove worn into it, im assuming its from being wound in to tight, i wasnt sure if it would cause me issues after i rebuild the carb. Sorry about the pics,i used my phone thinking they would turn out better than they did, but im glad to know that i can reuse them, if ican get a better pic ill post it later, thanks again.

I usually dress the tip of a worn needle by mounting it in an electric drill. I put the drill in my big vise (horizontally) and spin it, then use a fine point file or emery cloth to smooth it out. Works great.

That's a great idea, but I would be worried as iv never done it before and I would have to remove a lot of material to get rid of that groove, as long as it will work as is I really wouldn't want to risk damaging it.

I know the original pics were bad so here are some higher quality pics of the needle.P1100433.JPGP1100434.JPG

id use it no problem. it probably will make the idle adjustment a bit sensitive once you get it dialed in , and it may not idle as slow as it could. but it will still run quite well if the timing is set properly. jmo
