just wondering about anyones experience with cdi stators and saltwater - particullary the stators that have the coil windings exposed unlike the oem ones that were sealed/covered - i have just installed one on my motor so i'll eventually know ( still a month or so yet till i head out ) . i realize they left them open to allow better cooling but what about exposure to salt air - my origonal stator is just that -the oprigonal 1988 stator finally crapped out . the box went last year .
