CDI unit force 85 OB problems with wiring.

hi all, i only got 2 cylinders working on my force (build in 1987 )instead of 3 ...looks like i have problems with the CDI units...the orange wires who feeds the ignition coil are working..but 2 red ones of both CDI dont make any contact(coincidence???)....could it be that the 2 r broke or is it an electric problem i do not know of..the second red one of the CDI is used to run the 4th cylinder , but i only got an engine with 3 cylinders..so i tought to use that one because it's never been used..but even that one isn't working..pls need some help..greetz from Belgium

I took the time to read thru Clymers quick since I have the same motor only a year older. You really need to get a copy since it has all of the test set ups for each piece and will help you find your true problem. You did not mention if you have spark at the cylinder or not, your guess is probably as good as anything on the module but you should check before spending more money on parts. If you cant find a web site for parts try Mariners Choice in York Pa. USA you can find the phone number on WWW.Switchboard.com they have always been helpful with Force parts.

thx very much, nope there is no spark @ the center cylinder...i noticed that after i only had 2500 rounds a minute with my bayliner ...so.guess that wouldent do when i go and waterski..lol
