Hi everyone,
I have a 2007 Diamo turista 300cc scooter with 30 original miles. The scooter was sitting in a shed for a few years with bad gas . I replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, cleaned the carb and all was well. It ran great for 2 days, but it just up and died when i was pulling it into my drive way. It has no spark now. With the key on, i do have power at the coil, but no spark when cranking. I'm thinking its the CDI unit, but not sure. Is there a way to troubleshoot the CDI unit, or is it one of those things that you just replace and hope it works?

I've checked all fuses and safety switches, and everything else is working as it should.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Brokenrod

30 miles, wow thats not much!!

CDI units usually will allow the bike to run till it gets warm then it stops.
I would Recheck the wires for a bad connection first then remove if nothing found and take to the dealer for testing.

power comes from cdi to coil primary, your coil secondary has a problem....the way it works is stator[excite coil] magnetic pickup,to primary side of coil, runs to secondary side where voltage is stepped up to spark plugs .....so check out your coil
Ohem test coil if good check kill switch or kill switch wires
