ceiling fan wiring

Bought a new one that does not have the normal wiring for the light switch, it uses a remote only which I really do not like. We have the two wall switches, the red wire is up there for it (old one had light). Based on the below wiring diagram can I splice in to have the LED's work off the wall switch?

Looks like your only option is to use the remote. I installed on of these and the unit will retain the last state memory. So if you turn the light on with the remote you can turn it on and off from wall switch.
