I would guess the float isnt closing off the fuel. Remove the carb and clean it and be sure the float is not stuck and the needle is able to close tight. An old school trick is to first tap on the fuel bow and see if this will free up the float.Another thing is to pump up the fuel with the engine off and see if it leaks down . Can you see just where the fuel is leaking? It will be coming out the overflow hole on top of the carb bowl if its the carb. Also be sure the fuel line going into it is tight and not leaking.

Might as well fix it right the first time. Pull the float chamber covers off all 3 carbs and replace the floats along with the float needle and seat assy's.

Adjust the float needle height/drop as per manual instructions and you'll be set.

You'll need 3 ea. floats, needle/seat assy's, and carb packing kits.

Probably a good time to rebuild the fuel pump, if you haven't done it recently you need to due to nation-wide use of ethanol fuels. I did a 115hp 4-cyl recently and the rubber parts inside were shredded from the alcohol content. Fuel pump deterioration could put 'trash' in your carbs and cause problems.

Check the fuel pump filter screen for debris, if you see a lot it might not be a bad idea to install in your remote fuel line one of those Tempo glass fuel filters that comes apart to clean. The clear glass body makes it easy to see contamination in the fuel, and the plastic mesh filter media has very low restriction. Don't use an automotive paper-element filter, your fuel pump may or may not be able to handle the extra load.
