Coming this spring, I'll be replacing my exhaust manifolds and risers in my 1983 260 mercruiser. The original manifolds lasted 20 years in fresh water. This boat is now in saltwater all the time
I understand that ceramic coated manifolds and risers are available.
I'm curious to know if they last longer than the standard. Anybody have experiance with ceramic ??

jfc092 and Charlie the ceramic coated manifolds and risers seem to resist rust and corrosion better than just painted cast, I had a set of manifolds and risers coated 5 years ago, had them off last year they still looked good, but I only boat fresh water so I can't comment on salt water use They are also standred issue on new mercruiser engines.
