CG Regs????

USCG has the regs posted online but they only cover carb'd engines. Anybody know where I can find the regs for a fuel injected installation?

Is this what you're looking for?

6.6.1 Air/Fuel Delivery - Four Stroke
Electronic fuel-injection systems: Flame arresters that meet USCG,
UL-1111 or SAE J-1928 Marine backfire flame arrester test standards
must be installed. If not equipped with an airflow sensor, the ducting
between the flame arrestor and throttle body may be modified or
aftermarket . If originally equipped with an airflow sensor, the ducting
may be modified or aftermarket between the flame arrestor and airflow
sensor. Modifications to the airflow downstream of the airflow sensor
are not allowed. No modifications to the turbocharger and supercharger
system, if applicable, are allowed.

Thanks Alan, what I am looking is are the Coast Guard regulation that govern the instalation of a fuel injected gasoline engine in a small boat. They have online a "full" set of regs governing watercraft in the US Click Here

There are sections for carberators(183.526), hoses(183.540), Fuel pumps(183.524), and so forth and so on. There is no section that covers fuel injection systems. Surely there is some sort of standard, or if not, then an exclusion should be listed.

There are alot of rumors and assumption out there, I was just looking for the truth.

I have sent in information request, but have not recieved a response yet. When/if I do get anything, I will definately post it here.
