What is the preferred spark plug for a 88 50 hp force, champion or ngk? Also is ngk-BUHX and champion UL18V the plugs with or without the conventional bent ground electode? Which one would be best?

If your motor is running OK with the surface discharge plug then stick with it as the wrong side electrode plug may give rise to pre ignition and hole your pistons.

Thanks for the info. PO put side electrode type in it, but I will be putting the proper ones back in it today! Don't want to risk any hole in my pistons.
