Changing cooling hoses

How often should the cooling hoses on a raw water system be changed out? The hoses look good but they are on a 2004 boat.

If it ain't broke . . . don't fix it. :)

Only would change them out if they did not look good or if there was a problem, IMO.

are the hoses still soft and pliable? if so, like Ted stated, if it aint broke.....

Automotive hoses suffer from high under hood heat and a much higher fluid temp, as a result they break down faster than their marine brethren

Thanks for the responses. Plus the system isn't closed so it never gets pressurized like in a car right?

Ayuh,.... Not as high anyways,....

There is resistance, hence, there Is pressure,....
