changing diameter bad?

I had only one chance to take out my new boat before I had problems with another issue. When I pulled the boat out, I noticed the prop was REALLY chewed up.

I don't know if it is a good idea to take it out again until I get a replacement. I have a 13x19 on it now.

The boat is an 87 16.5' grumman aluminum fish/ski boat, deep v with an 87 VRO Evinrude 90hp.

There is a local guy who is selling a brand new prop for $65 that is a 14x19. Will changing the diameter of the prop just add more problems?

thanks in advance to all who help :)

Re: changing diameter bad?

The larger diameter prop may not fit the motor(hub diameter and clearance to anti cavitation plate), and will lower WOT rpms
