I am changing outboards and due to my inexperience with outboards I'm not sure what I might need regardign fuel line fittings. Should the Evinrude have the same connectors as the Nissan (my friend is delivering tomorrow early am)? Do I need to buy new fittings and are they easy to install?

Should they be available @ the local marine shop?

Thanks...

no they do not have the same fittings but you should just be able to change the engine side fuel fitting on the end of the hose walmart has em for 5 bux they look like this MAKE SURE IT SAYS "omc/johnson/evinrude"
some of the yamahaones look identical but they arent the same

cut the end off the the hose slide a STAINLESS hose clamp over the hose and slip the hose over the end of the new fitting tighten it up with a screw driver and your done 5 min job
OR if theres a hose clamp on the hose take the old fitting off and put the new fitting on and tighten up the clamp
