changing ignition

I have a 91 3.0 with delco electronic ignition, parts seen to be hard to find is there another option?

You have one of the best ignition systems available for the 3.0L, Both Merc and Volvo use it, along with all of the other marine marinizers.
Parts are available at thousands of web sites and ebay along with most any marine repair stations.
What exactly are you looking for and where are you looking?

Is this DDIS or EST system? One has a distributor (EST) and the other has a coil with the 4 plug leads coming from it and where the dissy would be it's just a crank angle sensor (DDIS)....

Since he stated it was the "delco electronic ignition", I didn't consider the DDIS, since it isn't Delco.
