That doesn't take rocket science mentality. Disconnect the battery first to avoid shorts, then simply have another switch and change over the wires one by one.
The alternative is to make a note of the terminal markings on the back of the switch (B,A,C,M,etc) and the color wire attached to it so as to connect the same color wire to the identical terminal of the new switch.
