Hi,
I hope I picked the right forum for this. I need some help finding an oil pump to change the lower unit oil on a few outboards and one IO. They are

35hp evinrude
4hp evinrude yachtwin
9.9 eska
9.8 mercury
Mercruiser MC-1

I found some kits that include the pump, a bottle of lube, and a set of replacement gaskets for one type of motor. I really don't want to buy a kit for each one, and would prefer to find a one size fits all pump. I can always buy gaskets individually, and I really don't want a pile of pumps sitting around if I can get away with one. What do you guys typically use?

Also on a related note- the 4hp yachtwin- I can only find one plug for the gear oil. I don't see any other plug anywhere that would act as the vent plug. Am I missing something? The only other hardware I can find hold the lower on at the anti-cavitation plate. It's two bolts and I am sure neither are a vent.

Thank you for your help! This will be my first time changing the oil myself and I don't want it to turn in to a costly mistake!

I think for the small motors, a tube is easier. And it's also my understanding that OMC and Yamaha have different plugs, since they sell different pump fittings by brand. metric/standard maybe.
