I would like to know how difficult it would be to change my 4.3 to a 350 it is in a 21' marlin
I dont know if a 350 will bolt up and how much new equipment would be needed.

Re: changing motors

The first thing is to find what your outdrive is geared for, sounds like a for a six (sorry to much money to replace). Then the next thing is,I dont think your bell housing, flywheel and exhaust manifolds will match up. Also...will it fit? Motor mounts to stringers, will your cover close?
I have done 2 replacements. Took two boats and made one. A good place to start (if it will fit) is to find a marine motor that is intact, even better if it ran and just needed a rebuild. To buy each part will cost way to much.
