changing points on a 9.5 evinrude

I am changing the points on an 9.5 Evenrude and the flywheel says to set points set A and then point setB what is the referance point that the setting is being done and which set is A and which is B?<br /><br />Any and all help will be much appreciated<br /><br />Thorsdad

Thorsdad,<br />It don't matter which is A or B one is for the upper cyl and the other is is for the lower. Just make sure that they are both both set at the same high spot on the cam at .020"

Thanks to Almost Retired Again for the timely answer. Solved the problem, Turns out the screw on the throttle shaft was loose allowing the throttle to be half open when at idle, THAT was the problem all along. Thanks again Almost for your assistance.
