Going to go from a Quicksilver 16X13 to Quicksilver 16X14. Should drop my RPM by about 150rpm. Is this a close guestimate? Will it drop my cruising RPM and raise my crising MPH?

Re: Changing props

Welcome,
We really need to know what boat, dryweight, hull style.Straight inboard or I/O.Your present rpm .
I would say yes 150 rpm seems reasonable.Very difficult to tell actual throttle setting or exactly where the rpm and speed will balance out.
Yes it is likely that the same rpm will produce more speed or same speed at slightly less rpm.But at what actual throttle setting.
Its much better to prop for max wot rpm close to the motors max rating. Usually if you want to improve your cruising speed a 4 blade will generally improve low to mid range performance.
