Hey guys!
My motor is finally cooked!! Im looking at another complete merc 350 that comes with EVERYTHING (so i will part the old one out) but this one comes with a THUNDERBOLT 4 BREAKERLESS ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM. What are the pros and cons, and how easy is it to switch to the electronic system?? There is supposed to be a computer or module with it???
Since this boat is a pullout from a wrecked baja, is there some items that come with the electronic ignition system that might not be on the actual block???

Thanks,
Dan

The TB4 is one of the best systems out there for marine engines. Especially if you have a Mercruiser. There is a module that attaches to the distriburor and to the exhaust riser with a small harness. You WILL need it.

Alright, by the picture, it seems that everything is there. So my engine plug from this new motor and my original should be the same even tho the ignition system is different? It looks the same but color codes the same? Do i have to rewire my main harness or should be just plug and play due to this electronic ignition system?

... i mean, it has nothing to do with the actual ignition wiring right?
