Hi there. Hoping someone can help me out.
Have a 1974 Mercruiser 140 # 3846493 that I will be changing the u-joints on this weekend.
I've searched but only come up with info on newer drives.
I've read that on newer drives it's possible to replace the u-joints without removing the yoke assembly by carefully grinding a bit off the retainer.
Does this also apply to a drive of my age?
Is it possible to replace the u-joints without removing the yoke assembly from the drive?
thank you
