just bought this boat and it has a charge pro 6amp onboard charger. will this keep my starting battery fully charged also the previous owner said he had it hooked up so i could charge both the starting and trolling motor if i plug the charger in to an extension cord from my house. does this seem right or can i harm one of the batteries doing this. thanks in advance

Re: charging system

Thats what an on-board charger is for. Any battery its connected to it will keep it charged if its working properly.

Unless it's a directed charger that can cycle the amps between batteries, a 6 amp output is not going to do much for your trolling motor battery after a hard day of fishing. It will keep them topped off if they are charged but it will take a long time to charge a deep cycle battery
thats run down.
