Chart ploters

I was looking to add one of these chart plotter/fish finder's to our 96 19' four winn horision. this dash has very little room to work with, so I'm asking for advise on brand,model, and mounting location that will work well with limited space. and any advise on style of transducer would also help. I only want to do this once, so doing it right the first time is my goal.

i had the same problem. 2001 four winns 180 horizon. i bought a hum 798 chart plotter, gps combo and had to mount a small peice of poly propelene on the small amount of fiberglass ledge next to the remote control shifter. the ledge is only 1 1/2" wide but runs the entire length of the side windshield. i butt the polypropelene right up to the windshield aluminum frame and screwed it into the fiberglass. it was the only only convenient spot i could come up with.it has worked out fine. its a little tight reaching the cig lighter but still works. the peice of poly is approx 1/2" thick, 8" x 9" and tee shaped. put poly bracket underneath . hope that helps. i could send pic in thread if i can figure out how to.
