I want to add a windscreen to my wooden runabout, its currently a dinghy but I plan to install a console on the side middle seat.

I also want the above, I plan to use perspex, should I use the aluminum joinery or should I make the screen frame from wood? I plan just a straight angle main screen with 2 triangular side screens (although I thought just 2 triangular wood supports would suffice as main vision is front.

Im looking for the cheapest and easiest DIY solution.

You have a wooden boat...I'd stay with that format and build the frame from wood. Here's what I'd recommend to seal the wood with.

You can leave it natural or paint it after it's dried a minimum of 72 hours.
