Well, after an extensive search online for a lower unit vacuum pump, I couldn't find anything.
Didn't want to spend a lot of money, but needed to check my lower unit as I just replaced the seals.
All I had was a vacuum/pressure gauge used for testing automobile vacuum pressure and fuel pressure.
Took me a while, but after sopme experimentation I found the best plunger mechanism is a caulk tube.
Worked great! So thought I would share.
