Re: Cheap Pedestals

Those are nice. I would have liked those for my back two seats because there removable, and "A" or "AB" rated I believe. But they did'nt come short enough. My 66 Nassau not as deep as the Jupiter model. Even the 9 inch pedestals seem to put the seats a little too high. I may need to trim them down.

Anyone know what the hight of the seats were in a Nassau. Looking at some photo's w/boats that still have the original seating in the they appeared to be mounted real close to the floor w/ the backs of the seat close to even w/ the gun rail?

Thanks for the link...I need to get some from these guys since my existing seat hardware has scratches already.

If I bought new stuff it wouldn't match:p

While we're here...how tall of a pedestal do you guys think I need for the bow where I will have the pedestal on the deck but the seat high enough to fish and stand up on the benches? (hope that made sense)

My previous boat was a side console smokercraft w/ a casting deck up front I want to say it was about a 12 to 14 inch pedestal.

So if you have the benches in the bow you'll need to have the seat above the bench hieght at least 12 inches I would think. It probly becomes a personel preferance or comfort issue when your the fishing there. Adjustable maybe?
