From here on out I always check to see if my Brakes work.. The 4th of July this year I planned to take the kids out to the lake.. Spent about $100 bucks on junk, gas and food that we would need. As I was backing up out of my driveway I put on the Brakessssssss.. Nothing as my boat settled in the ditch across the street. I was stuck. Plus my truck was blocking the road. I get out of the truck scratched my head and started laughing. My son and his friend looked me kind of puzzled.. Why are you laughing mom, thats not funny. No, but most definitely wouldn't be funny on the boat ramp.. I could just picture the boat, trailor and my poor old truck in the lake with people watching.. I spent that day doing a rear wheel cylinder and brake job to my truck without the proper brake tools. I never thought it would hurt so bad to put the springs back on the pads.. At 4pm and a 108 degrees out, I hear this are you done yet.. Put a fork in me son I am done.. Now my son friend always ask, If I checked the brakes this time.. Gee , I think the kid is paranoid or something..
