How do I check out the rectifier and charge coil on my 2000 Yamaha F100 4 stroke? The motor will run, but is not putting out any voltage to charge the battery.

I would recommend getting a manual for your motor. I just ran into the same problem, my rectifier was bad. It is not to complicated to check and replace if need be. You will need an ammeter.

I think you mean ohm meter. An ammeter is useless in static testing.

Or a VOM...:D That should cover all bases. And I think there is a fuse in an inline fuse holder coming off that rectifier. If so, make sure it isn't blown.
