I have a 1997 40hp Evinrude. I had to rebuild the carbs and now according to repair manual in the process of getting carbs in synch. I have a shop tachometer that is really for auto 4-6-8 cyl. Can this tester be connected and used or do I need to purchase a shop tach that will work with outboard motors? If I can use the one how do I read for 2 cylinder?
