At idle you really wont see bubbles, when were the impellers replaced last?

You just unhook the hose from the drive.Start it and see how much water is pumping. At idle it should fill a bucket FAST!!.Rev it up and see if it pumps more. This needs to be done in the water.A hose just don't have enough water.
Next. How old are the risers/manifolds?If they are original it's probably time to change them.Last time you changed the impeller?Run it in the mud latley?
Change the thermostat.Post your results.J

Thanks for the reply.Still dont know what hose you are referring to.There is transom to power steering cooler hose, then a power steering to Tstat housing. This has ben an ongoing problem for a number of years.Troubleshooting it ,I have replaced the risers and manifolds, circulator pump,o/d impeller and housing every season, tstat, cleaned and adjusted pressure balls.I know more water pumps when I raise rpms while in neutral.Thats how I bring temp back down when it starts climbing.Very frustrating Charlie
