Here's a question I'm sure someone has asked before. What is involved in converting a pair of chevy inline 6's from carbs to fuel injection?

Thanks in advance,
Rick

Hi Rick and the group,

Short answer: money

Long answer: lots of money ;-)

Seriously I don't think the inline 6 was offerd with fuel injection on any of the factoy marine conversions that I know of. So if this is true that leaves you with only after market kits. I think Holley makes kits. Maybe a google search would bring up more on Holley.

Later, Dale

As long as we are dreaming, let's convert from inline sixes to blown 502's?

Simple answer. Fuel injection provides more horsepower and is more fuel efficient than standard carburation. With fuel costs being what they currently are, I'm thinking the initial outlay of cash may be worth it, but indeed want some other opinions...;-)

Rick.

Money aside, they are a bunch of work to set up. But once you do there is no substitute. You can't practically use an oxygen sensor so each phase of running has to be programmed ie cold start, idle, mid-range, high range, acceleration, etc,

Who's marine FI system are you thinking of?
