I have a 1998 Chevy 2500 with a 5.7....currently has the 4L80E trans in it which is bad.
Will a 400 Turbo bolt up to this block....if so what will I need to modify if anything...I understand I wouldn't have any overdrive.
IMO, its not worth the headache. Your drive shaft won't be long enough to reach the 400t, cross member will need relocated, and your ecm isn't going to like the 400t either.
4L80 is a better transmission IMHO...I wish I had one in my truck...its a 4L60 from what I understand and isn't geared the same and the clutch drums are way smaller...
I have no documentation on this, I was talking to a performance shop that is going to do some mods and he was explaining the differences between my truck and a buddies HD...
