Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if you guys have every experienced issues with Chevy front diffs and suspension components? I own a 2002 Chevy Tahoe with 5.3L V8. I just noticed that the front diff vent seems to be leaking all over the place. It actually looks like fluid was exiting out of the vent. I have heard that Chevy has all sorts of issues with thier front ends. I typically have the diff fluid changed once a year (front & rear). Is it possible the front diff was overfilled? or the vent tube is loose?

There also seems to be a slight grinding noise coming from the front. It gets faster with the speed of the truck. I have pretty much ignored the sound. The truck drives just fine.

I'd just thought I would check to see if anyone has similiar issues. BTW, I cant wait to get the 2000 Glastron SX-170 on the H2o. It's 64 degree today in Mpls. Thanks everyone.

Its possible it was over filled. The vent also will lose fluid if the gears are running hot.Kind of makes you wonder about the grinding noise.
If you put it in 4wd does the grinding get worse or stay the same?
On my 99 tahoe i have noticed the vent has seaped a little bit but have never had a problem at all with it.
I was in mpls last week, was it cold.I bet you have major snow melt going on now....

I'd think you get that Checked Out,....
Rather than Ignoring it.......

It'll continue to get More Expensive to Fix as it gets Worse.........
