Finally done!!! Two more bedrooms to go now. Master and guest bedrooms. I took a week off work to do this. I work slowly, and fairly meticulously. My Father-in-Law calls me Micrometer Man. It took me four days/nights to nail down the flooring. The rest of the time was base moulding, painting, moving the ceiling fan, and patching holes in one wall from two wall sconces and various dings and gouges from my almost 3 year old. Please forgive the huge photos. For some reason, my computer won't allow me to upload photos the "normal" way tonight. It's probably my own fault, but these computers at work are touchy sometimes with what they will and won't allow you to do.
The flooring is Acacia (Asian Walnut). It's solid, 3/4" thick and 3 5/8" wide. It's prefinished, with an 8 layer aluminum oxide satin finish.
Next is The master bedroom. Can't wait!!! My back and shoulders... crap, my whole body still hurts from swinging the mallet for the manual flooring nailer I have. Pneumatics are easier on the body, but you can't get the joints as tight as you can with the manual. With prefinished flooring, it makes all the difference in the world.
