I'm assuming this is the choke solenoid that the wire is shot? Its a single wire that leads back into the wiring harness. I don't like splices but my guess is I'd have to run a new wire all the way back from the switch to the solenoid. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Solder a patch of same gauge wire and heat shrink it.

I'm prone to looming wires near the powerhead.

?? Looks like the wire is broken off right at the solenoid. There may be no hope for that solenoid.

If the wire is still good it looks like an easy fix.---Remove screw at solenoid.---Throw away the short piece of wire and eye.----Splice the correct length wire on and install with new eyelet.

your high speed timing bolt under the flywheel looks like its at 17 degrees or so. these are supposed to be 20 +/1 1 degree just by eyeballing it.

Going with a complete new motor cable. Found additional wires that the insulation was crumbling. Not worth my time to splice in a bunch when a new cable is only $100.
