choke just fell off, so just screwed back on, now when try to set choke closed(puchs leaver fwd) wont put choke closed, 1) do you turn it a little choke so it hooks on something inside choke or is the a lever you have to reset, , not sure how to put choke back on so it will close when I put shifter down to set choke?

Take the black thing and twist it to the right. Place the tab into the hole and secure it with a spring.

Next adjust the cabled so it fits. Now verify the slider thing engages the linkage.

Can you give us a clue what motor you are talking about ? More info will help you get the right answer.
