Hey guys. I have a 19ft legend and im looking for a 9.9 kicker. Where the motor needs to be mounted is 23in deep. Ive been told that even with a long shaft it is too deep and would not work properly. Does anyone Have any ideas or suggestions

Whoever told you that never did it personally, he just heard it.
If the propeller is completely below the bottom of the boat it'll work just fine. You aren't planing here, just moving the boat at less than displacement speed.
