I have an 87 OMC Cobra with a small block chevy. I was wondering if anyone can suggest some good plug wires. I'm willing to spend good money on a high quality set.

Re: Choosing the right plug wires.

if you have the original distributor, Rockauto has the Prestolite Pro-connect 118039 set on clearance for $8

I always just search for a 70 Chevelle or Corvette or whatever with a 350 and see what's on clearance.
Spark plug wires on a car are going through hell every day (700 degree manifolds, road salt, sub-zero temps in the winter, etc.)
On a boat, plug wires are in paradise (cool manifolds, no winters, enclosed engine room)

Arent car wires too short ? I tried using a set and the only way they would work would be to take them straight over the manifolds.

not routed around them like stock

Good question, The ones on there now are pretty tight. Especially the coil wire. It pops off if I touch it at all.
