Re: choosing the right prop

What is the wot rpm with the 20" prop? What brand, size and weight bass boat?
A 25" prop will lower rpm "about" 1,000,a 27 "about"1,400.

Re: choosing the right prop

You should read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps at the prop store page.We will be glad to answer any questions.
Your motor needs to be able to operate at its max. wot
rpm 5,850.You need to select a prop to put the motor near the 5,850 A 27" would lower the rpm "about"1400.Your 20"I would expect it to over rev.Either your tach is wrong or the motor/setup has a problem.Once you have the correct max wot rpm you can run at what ever rpm you prefer.
