My Uncle past away last week and left behind what I was told is his Chris Craft cabin cruiser that he built from a kit in the mid 50's. It was a fresh water boat that he used in the Detroit area.It as not been in the water since the 60's. I was told it has a Crowly aluminum inboard. It fits in a 24' garage so I think it's around 21' or 21 1/2' footer. Any idea of what I have here?

Re: Chris Craft kit Boat

Unfortunatly he was a bit a of a pack rat and the garage the boat is in is jammed so full of stuff that I can not get a picture of just the boat. I will be doing some major cleaning in a few months so I can uncover the boat. I just thought I'd ask a few questions to some boat people about it. A few more facts that I know. It has a hard top and it has a cabin with a "head" that empties right into the water. I know that this is not leagal by any means today. Once I get the pics I'll post.

I have a 1957 C/craft sales catalog that lists 12 differant models from 12 to 22 feet and seen many older ones in about 55-56 the crusier line changed to much more cabin glass than the earlier models and in 57 even added fins on 3 models--Bob
