Christmas Present for your boat?

My Monterey 250CR has just about everything I can think of but I still need to get her something for Christmas. I am tapping into a fresh water line and pulling it forward to the anchor locker. A wash down for the hook when pulling it from salt water or mud would be nice.

I am also replacing my galvanized plow anchor with a polished stainless steal for no other reason except for looks.

Ps. I just installed pop up cleats all around. Very nice. :)

What are you getting yours?

Just a new impellor, new bellows and steering cable! I'm hoping maybe the wife will by me a new chartplotter that I've had my eyes on?

How did you install those pop up's? Seems to me you have to cut out a lot of glass. Wished the former owner opted for the pop ups for no other reason than looks. This fall I gave my Chaparral a tune-up, impeller and drive service.

Electric flush with macerator! No more pumping and trying to teach people how to flush a marine toilet. Also a Fortress FX-11 anchor!

Re: Christmas Present for your boat?

I first did a practice install on a piece of plywood. I made a templet of the hole I needed. Made sure all the parts and tools were available. Made sure I was happy with the final product and with its strength. Made a few minor changes before sinking a drill bit into the gel coat. I have always been a huge fan of practice installation in plywood. When the real install goes in, it is sharp and clean.

Just be careful with your girl.. I just remove a cotton wad with a string (if you know what I mean) from last time we went out.

My wife kept trying to flush the toilet and I asked what she was doing and she tried to play dumb. Now the truth comes out,

I hear ya. I have let the admiral and my daughter know that if they plug it, they get to clean up the mess I will make fixing it. Time will tell. We have little baggies and small trash can in the bathroom for that purpose.

My drives are getting new seals and hopefully she'll be getting a new dash. Maybe a new wheel if I'm really lucky.
