Chrysler 280 sailor 1979, 12hp 2 stroke, model 121B9A

I'm having problem with my current motor (Johnson 9.9 1980). I will try to fix it but I could pick up this Chrysler for 350$ with tank.

What should I look for when I see the engine (compression and if it will start)?

Compression and spark. The rest is easy.Jerry

On the water demo, if possible, and a ton of spare parts.
